My later apples are putting forth a dozen or two blossoms, most deep in the tree or otherwise protected. I see no peaches or pears at all. Same elsewhere in town, and in neighboring towns. There will be black raspberries, blueberries, sour cherries and pawpaws. While I was in New Brunswick, my bigger asparagus roots got too close to fern stage. None of the rhubarb seeds have sprouted yet, but the rooted plants are prosperous. I just noticed flowering iris yesterday. The bees are happy, I think mostly with the blueberry flowers.

Tilled the garden the first time on May 18, will do so again next week, then plant. Took the window out of the top of the barn and sprayed a lot of budding poison ivy this morning. I took about half the storm windows off last week and this. Also fixed the El bathroom sink's trap. Now for fixing a chair or two and then cleanup.
